Measure and Cut Framing Lumber
Measure and mark the top and bottom plates, vertical wall studs, and base outrigger feet from your 2x4 lumber. Use a speed square to draw 90-degree cut lines, then cut each piece with a miter saw. Group matching lengths together to ensure identical heights for all upright studs.

Lay the top and bottom plates on a flat floor and arrange the outer vertical studs between them. Clamp corner joints tight with 90-degree corner clamps, verifying squareness with a framing square. Drive 2-1/2-inch pocket hole screws into all corner joints to lock the perimeter rectangular frame.
